The image below is my rough sketch for the question no. 1 , the question was really straightforward but i got carried away with its simplicity and started sketching without going into details of the question . As you can see in the diagram , i made two terrible mistake , first i placed a kadhai instead of pressure cooker and i have a four stove burner ,instead of a two stove burner . Please pay attention ,i learnt it the hard way .
Question no.2 .
I couldn't get my head around this one , i just couldn't may be it was because of the pressure that i felt after ,my failed attempt at question 1.
Question no.3
Objects that created
1. Merry-go-round.
2. A lounging chair.
3. A soap and toothbrush holder.
Question no. 4 .
Again I couldn't crack it , so instead of mulling over it i jumped to the next question , and mind you and i never got the chance to revisit those question that i couldn't crack .
Question no.5 .
This is not my first and the final attempt , i gone through 3 rough sketches , the last one looked more or less like this , and i thought this is going to be my final sketch so i send that pic to Bhanu Sir and he told me it still looks rough .
after Bhanu Sir's input , i decided to make it look more finished .
So my point is , before finalising your sketch , make at least , 4 to 5 rough sketches very quickly , thinking inn over head will only make the process even more slower and hence time consuming , and with quick rough sketches , you will get instant feedback from your brain if something is going wrong or can be added .
Hello Dhananjay,
ReplyDeleteYour solutions are very rough, I think, u just made this in a hurry may be in an half an hour or so :P
Please, while practising try to solve them, the way u practice reflects ur actual attempt in exam, so if u just sketch randomly, then same habit might continue further, so even if u want to make a rough sketch, try to maintain a proper proportion for the images. Since this is your first attempt, it's ok. But give some seriousness for further practice, time is very less.
I saw your object sketches, they are really great, good work, now after attempting this, u might have understood the difference in sceneric sketching and design n scenario sketching. So, please practice as much as possible.
Q5, all the parts are still in single line way, looks like line sketch, n ya give a proper shape outline before u give details. I think you should my video on the type of sketch mistakes, it will definitely help u - Common sketching mistakes while attempting CEED
Sir in the ques 4 of part b (2015) do we have to illustrate the stories or just write them ?
Deleteno, just write them. Give attention to ques requirement. They haven't mentioned to illustrate.
DeleteHi buddy Dhananjay, including drawings, please correct for your mistakes in words, as for drawing, the last one still looks impracticable only because these will be carried by ladies more often, hence filling the pots and then assembing them would take much of their time and then putting up back on your shoulder bending down will be tough. A very good attempt but off the required target.
ReplyDeleteI have few suggestions for Q2. Let me know your views about them as I'm preparing for ceed17 so it will of great help.
ReplyDelete1)the spot of idol immersion during Ganesh Chaturthi is very crowed so for easy movement the size of the idol could be reduced. And if the immersion spot is with 3hr distance , transportation cost and traffic jam could be reduced .
2)for a small 3 hr party at home, an extra bed can be reduced and used as a sofa to accommodate more guest and more free movement space.
3)huge furniture's can be reduced for easy cleaning
With Regard to the Design Question(Q.5), we limit ourselves to plains/deserts and do not consider Mountainous regions which is a big part of India's terrain. your idea seems to fail in that context. The question also says to state 5 factors which will effect the design, i have listed a few please add or omit any of the design considerations
ReplyDelete1. Easy to mount the pots and dismount them.
2. Must not damage the Pots
3. Least physical strain to the body
4. Must not hinder the view of the person carrying the pots
5. Must not restrict the movement of the person
6. Time to mount and dismount must be less also.
7. Additional features and benefits to the person using the product or in other words customer delight.
